A leading hospitality recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Hotel Receptionist to join a well-established hotel known for its excellent guest service in Cape Town. Responsibilities include managing guest check-ins, handling inquiries, and providing exceptional service. Maximum salary of R12,000, with additional benefits included.

Overview

Our client, a well-established hotel known for its warm hospitality and excellent guest service, is seeking an experienced Hotel Receptionist to join their front-of-house team. You will be required to welcome guests, handle bookings, and ensure every stay feels seamless and special.

Candidate Requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License – Non-Negotiable. The candidate must be an experienced and confident driver.
  • Own Reliable Transport – Not Public Transport. Due to shift work, candidates cannot rely on public transport. Late-night transport (after 9pm) is often unavailable. Reliable personal transport is therefore essential.
Location
  • We are committed to supporting our local community.
  • Candidates must live in Kuilsriver or surrounding areas.
  • Applicants from Bellville, Brackenfell, Kuilsriver, or within a 20km radius will be considered.
Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent communication skills and professional, polished appearance.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to manage challenging situations diplomatically.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Strong hosting and guest relations skills.
  • Excellent administrative skills, including accurate typing and professional email correspondence.
  • Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
Age & Gender
  • Candidates between 25 and 40 years old.
  • Female / Male.
Working hours
  • Willing to work shifts.
  • Working weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and assist guests in a warm and professional manner.
  • Manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
  • Handle guest inquiries and provide information about the estate and surrounding areas.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and reservations.
  • Provide shuttle service to the restaurant and tasting centre (on-site only).
  • Assist with bar service when required.
Salary
  • Maximum R12,000, depending on experience.
  • 6 off days per month.
  • 21 days annual leave.
