Job summary

Radisson Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Plumber and General Hotel Maintenance to uphold brand standards across the property in South Africa. The role covers installation, repairs and preventive maintenance of plumbing systems to ensure guest safety and minimize downtime.

You'll work in a busy hotel environment, performing pipe fitting, leak detection and routine servicing of water heaters, with a focus on minimal disruption to guests and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 (trade certificate advantageous).
• 3+ years maintenance experience in plumbing, preferably in hotels, resorts, or commercial sites.
• Proven experience in new plumbing installations.
• General knowledge of hotel maintenance not related to trade.

Responsibilities

• Regularly check pipes, drains, heat pumps, pumps and fixtures for leaks.
• Fix plumbing issues in guest rooms and public areas (toilets, water pressure, pipes).
• Service water heaters and circulation pumps.
• Ensure compliance with plumbing, safety and hygiene standards.
• Pipe fitting and joining PVC, copper, or PEX.
• Handle plumbing hand and power tools safely.
• Assist other trades with patch plastering, painting touch-ups, silicone sealing.
• Maintain stock of tiles, adhesives, grout, sealants, and tools.
• Advise procurement on quantities and lead times for projects.
• Dispose of rubble and hazardous materials per regulations.
