A leading company in the cruise industry is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee supply management operations. The role involves conducting inventory checks, maintaining records, and collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient supply delivery. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience in inventory management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of all hotel supplies and amenities
- Monitor and track usage of supplies to ensure proper levels are maintained
- Place orders for supplies as needed and maintain relationships with vendors
- Receive and inspect all deliveries to ensure quality and accuracy
- Work closely with other departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of supplies
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis of inventory data
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize waste and loss
- Train and supervise other crew members on proper inventory management procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college coursework preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or related field
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry or on a cruise ship is a plus
