Aboriginal Hostels Limited (AHL) is seeking a reliable and motivated Hostel Manager to join our team, supporting First Nations peoples across Australia by creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at our facilities and hostels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of hostel operations, building strong relationships with local stakeholders to support First Nations residents.
- Ensure high standards in service delivery, safety, and cleanliness.
- Lead, support, and develop the hostel team, promoting continuous improvement.
- Maintain high hostel occupancy and exceptional service to residents.
- Work closely with the small hostel team to provide meals, ensure cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming environment.
- Ensure compliance with AHL policies and operational guidelines, reporting regularly to the Operations Management Team and liaising with AHL's National Office as needed.
Key Tasks:
- Support hostel teams with clear guidance on work expectations.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and address non-compliance issues.
- Support the achievement of AHL's goals and support residents' access to services.
- Create a culture of excellent customer service, ensuring guests feel welcome and culturally safe.
- Manage hostel operations per AHL's Operations Handbook, maintaining discretion and privacy.
- Provide staff management, including recruitment, induction, performance management, and training.
- Resolve resident issues promptly, respecting diversity and promoting positive experiences.

- Professional, detail-oriented, and committed to service improvement.
Requirements:
- Australian citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain police check and Working with Children Check.
