Position Summary: Under general direction from the Restaurant Services Supervisor, responsible for providing an excellent first and last impression of the venue to guests and maintaining an efficient and courteous restaurant operation by greeting arriving customers in a friendly manner, seating customers promptly, and collecting payment and giving accurate change according to established policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous guest service at all times following the Casino’s guest service standards including proper greeting and farewell.
  • Answer phones and respond to guest requests.
  • Meet arriving customers as they enter the restaurant with a cordial greeting.
  • Escort customers to assigned tables, issue menus, and solicit rapport to accommodate special needs or requests.
  • Maintain a highly visible appearance in the restaurant during the entire shift by remaining at the cashier station and circulating periodically to assist servers or respond to customer requests.
  • Assess the efficiency of the operation and report to management.
  • Solicit feedback from departing customers on products and services to improve operations, increase customer base, and maximize revenues.
  • Take notes on customer comments and report to management.
  • Collect payment, operate a cash register, and give accurate change to customers as needed.
  • Balance and reconcile computerized and manual reports at the end of each shift to ensure accurate daily business records for the Accounting Department.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings.
  • Answer questions regarding casino and restaurant policies, procedures, and local events.
  • Resolve customer issues and disputes, contacting supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and attractive restaurant by assisting with cleaning and side work duties.
  • Check the proper set-up of tables and seating prior to opening.
  • Report maintenance or housekeeping issues promptly.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance and maintain a friendly, courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Follow safety and customer service guidelines according to policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related results as required.
  • Record all transactions in the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit, and comps correctly and completing paperwork properly.
  • Assist guests and servers with Food and Beverage orders promptly.
  • Assist with beverage service as necessary.
  • Keep work area clean and stocked, preparing for the next shift.
  • Clean tables, menus, and refill or replace as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items and POS equipment.
  • Process to-go orders and assist with catering deliveries.
  • Support servers, utility porters, and bussers, and assist with catering events to maximize guest service.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Access to Sensitive Areas: Access to F&B storage areas.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required unless waived by HR. Six months of cash handling and guest service experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide high-quality guest service. ServSafe certification and F&B experience preferred. Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, background check, and obtain/maintain gaming license.

Physical Demands

Regularly talk and hear; stand, walk, sit; use hands and arms; reach. Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth, color, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Exposure to cigarette smoke, noisy environment, indoors and outdoors, extreme weather conditions, and temperature variations.

Must be able to work Nights, Weekends, and Holidays
