Job summary

HR Genie is seeking an Iron Launder Operator in Limpopo to operate industrial ironing and pressing equipment in a hospitality laundry. You will ensure high-quality finishing, inspect fabrics for defects, and maintain a clean, safe workspace to meet daily production targets.

Previous laundry experience is desirable; basic literacy and numeracy are required, and formal training is a plus. The role may include weekend shifts to support operation needs.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Formal training or certification in laundry operations or related field is advantageous but not essential.
• Completion of secondary education or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in laundry or hospitality environment desirable.
• Experience operating industrial ironing and pressing machinery advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial ironing and pressing machines following safety guidelines.
• Inspect linen and fabric items for stains or defects before ironing.
• Ensure items are pressed to high-quality standards with attention to fabric type.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the ironing area.
• Perform routine maintenance on ironing and pressing equipment.
• Collaborate with laundry staff to manage workflow.
• Follow health and safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor promptly.
• Support continuous improvement of laundry processes.
