Placements24 is seeking a Hygiene and Sanitation Manager for a flagship hospitality venue in Randburg, Gauteng. You will develop and enforce hygiene protocols across departments to meet health and safety standards and protect guest wellbeing.

The role requires strong leadership, HACCP experience, and thorough knowledge of sanitation practices. Lead housekeeping and stewarding teams, oversee supplies, and drive continuous improvement in cleanliness and safety.

Formación

• 4+ years in hygiene or sanitation management, preferably in hospitality or healthcare.
• Experience implementing HACCP or similar food safety systems.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and disinfection techniques.
• Strong understanding of public health regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, training and team management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive hygiene and sanitation programs.
• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of kitchens, guest rooms, public spaces, and staff facilities.
• Train and manage the housekeeping and stewarding teams on sanitation procedures and best practices.
• Manage procurement and inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Develop and implement pest control programs.
• Investigate and resolve sanitation-related issues or guest complaints promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, inspections, and trainings.
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure cohesive hygiene standards.
• Stay updated on latest advancements and regulations in hygiene and sanitation.
