Candidate Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Professional interaction with clients
• Transport patients from reception to wards and vice versa.
• Transport patients from wards to doctor’s rooms, X-ray departments, and other allied health professional rooms.
• Assist patients with their luggage during admission or discharge.
• Check wheelchairs for cleanliness and repairs, maintaining good working condition.
• Assist in making photocopies of work-related documents and organizing patient files and folders.
• Distribute memos and documents to wards, doctors' rooms, and allied professionals.
• Collect stationary and stock for the department.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Ability to push heavy individuals in wheelchairs, beds, or assist heavy patients in or out of vehicles.
• Experience in a hospital environment and transporting ill or invalid persons is preferred.
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges, and role players is an advantage.
