Hospital Manager

To establish and manage a world-class CHG Hospital. This role is accountable for the implementation, management, and monitoring of hospital operations for the group, ensuring quality patient care and effective management. The incumbent manages a team of specialists, and the scope of this role spans across the hospital, interfacing with the Head Office.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare.
• Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is an added advantage.
• 5-7 years of experience in hospital or hospitality management.
• At least 3 years of people management experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead strategic direction setting and planning for the hospital in alignment with the CHG’s vision and mission.
2. Develop standards for the non-acute hospital based on global and local best practices to achieve operational excellence and quality.
3. Set goals and standards to support the hospital’s business plans.
4. Optimize the use of skills and equipment for maximum effectiveness and productivity.
5. Support and guide workstreams such as Nursing and Patient Experience to achieve operational success.
6. Drive continuous improvement and manage operational risks.
7. Maintain quality patient care standards through qualified and registered professionals.
8. Manage communication, service providers, projects, budgets, resourcing, and change management related to hospital operations.
9. Implement operational activities aimed at delivering excellent patient experiences and outcomes efficiently.
10. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
11. Streamline hospital operations to foster collaboration and synergy among healthcare professionals.
12. Strategically manage the hospital’s value chain to ensure optimal integration within CHG’s operations.
13. Support initiatives to strengthen relations with funders and work towards service provider status.
14. Collaborate with senior leadership in recruiting clinicians and allied health professionals.
15. Support contractors to ensure service delivery.
16. Oversee the hospital’s marketing and patient experience strategies.
17. Lead and manage functional strategies across the portfolio.
