Job Summary : Hospital Manager

Chief Operations Officer

To establish and manage a world-class CHG Hospital. This role is accountable for the implementation, management, and monitoring of hospital operations for the group, ensuring quality patient care and effective management. The incumbent manages a team of specialists, and the scope of this role spans across the hospital and interfaces with the Head Office.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare.
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) is an added advantage.
  • 5-7 years of experience in hospital or hospitality management.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience.

Minimum Work Experience :

  1. Lead strategic direction setting and planning for the non-acute hospital area in alignment with CHG’s vision and mission.
  2. Develop standards for the non-acute hospital based on global and local best practices to achieve operational excellence and quality.
  3. Set goals and standards for the non-acute hospital to support business plans.
  4. Plan and utilize available skills and equipment for maximum effectiveness and productivity.
  5. Support and guide relevant workstreams (e.g., Nursing, Patient Experience) to achieve operational success.
  6. Drive continuous improvement and manage operational risks.
  7. Maintain quality patient care standards through qualified and registered professionals.
  8. Manage communication, service providers, projects (where applicable), budgets, resourcing, roll-out, and change management related to non-acute hospital operations.
  9. Initiate and implement operational activities aimed at delivering the best patient experience, outcomes, and cost efficiency.
  10. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  11. Streamline the non-acute hospital and promote alignment, collaboration, and synergy among various stream leads and healthcare professionals.
  12. Take a strategic view of the value chain to ensure the hospital is optimally integrated and aligned within CHG’s operating context.
  13. Support and drive group initiatives to strengthen funder relations and work towards designated service provider status with funders.
  14. Collaborate with the COO, CMO, and CMO in recruiting clinicians and allied health workers across disciplines.
  15. Enable and support contractors to deliver effectively.
  16. Manage the hospital’s marketing and patient experience strategies.
  17. Co-create functional strategies and lead disciplines within the portfolio.
