An emerging private hospital group who develop and manage their portfolio hospitals by serving rural and peri-urban clients across three provinces is looking for an experienced Hospital Human Resources Manager.

POSITION INFO :

The HR Manager will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of human resources operations across their healthcare facility. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's goals and ensure the effective management of their most valuable asset - their people.

Duties will include but not be limited to :

  • Collaborate with senior management to identify workforce needs, anticipate future staffing requirements, and create workforce planning initiatives
  • Oversee the recruitment process for all positions within the hospital group, including physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and support personnel
  • Develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including the use of online job boards, social media, networking events, and partnerships with educational institutions
  • Implement effective screening and selection processes to ensure the hiring of qualified candidates who fit the organization's culture and values
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource to employees and managers on HR-related issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
  • Address employee concerns and grievances in a fair and timely manner, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Identify training and development needs across the organization and design programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance
  • Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and seminars on topics such as compliance, safety, diversity, and leadership development
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with HR governance framework, employee data and employment laws and regulations, as well as industry-specific requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR trends, legal developments, and best practices in healthcare HR management
  • Implement policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks and ensure the safety and well-being of employees

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field in Organisational Psychology
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Proficiency in HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR-related technology platforms
