Duties & Responsibilities
- Sales Plan / Strategy
- Develop and implement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Plan and execute activities to achieve business goals (PPP).
- Coordinate PIQ Planning, TRS Planning, and marketing initiatives, including in-store advertising.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to support partner-driven marketing events.
- Gather and analyze competitor intelligence on models, pricing, promotions, product placement, NPI, etc.
- Identify risk models, champion action plans, and monitor progress and success rates.
Business Management- Manage offline and online business operations for the customer.
Creative Business Development- Innovate ways to grow the business with customers, such as Hi Sku / Hi MP.
- Provide solutions to management challenges.
- Build and develop relationships with corporate contacts.
- Assist in preparing contractual agreements and ensure adherence.
- Identify new business opportunities in HI MP PG's.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and customer strategies.
Forecasting & Stock Management- Master GDMI forecasting techniques.
- Ensure adequate staffing and stock levels to avoid LTIM.
- Improve forecasting methods continuously.
- Calculate weekly sell-out forecasts and adjust weekly sell-in requirements.
- Coordinate with APM / DP and inbound/outbound departments on stock requirements and availability.
- Monitor weekly SOH and sell-out results, considering promotional calendars.
Budget & Risk Management- Ensure ROI and brand sustainability.
- Meet income targets and manage risks effectively.
- Negotiate pricing with Product Managers.
- Stay informed on market developments and competitors' activities.
Customer Relationships- Maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Visit customers regularly to foster partnerships.
- Treat customers as partners and encourage business growth.
Reporting & Analysis- Provide sales reports, analysis, and presentations.
- Analyze promotion results and effectiveness.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- 5–7 years in key accounts management.
- Experience with Mass Retail in South Africa.
- Strong administrative, sales, and warehouse knowledge.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven customer relations skills.
- Advanced MS Office skills and database usage.
- Channel partner relationship knowledge.
- Financial management skills.
- Strong work ethic, effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and challenge oneself.
Educational Requirements
- B Com or related diploma; accounting skills advantageous.
- Willingness to travel (20% office, 80% external, minimum three nights away per month).
