The Faculty is looking for dedicated online TEFL tutors in South Africa to join our team and make a difference in global education.

The Role

  1. Independent Contractor Agreement (Remote).
  2. No guaranteed teaching hours.
  3. Various shifts to suit your availability.
  4. Variable schedule based on operational needs within predefined time frames.
  5. Advance notification of your schedule.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Teach students using engaging, conversational teaching methodologies.
  2. Inspire and support students in reaching their language goals.
  3. Provide constructive feedback and effective error correction.
  4. Facilitate individual and group sessions that foster meaningful interaction.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  1. National Senior Certificate (Matric) or equivalent (a bachelor’s degree in any field is advantageous).
  2. 3 months of teaching experience (formal or informal) is advantageous.
  3. 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate.
  4. Excellent English proficiency (neutral accent).
  5. Strong computer literacy and troubleshooting skills.

Connectivity

  1. Stable FIBRE internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps upload/download).
  2. LAN cable connection (no Wi-Fi).

PC Specifications

  1. Intel Core i5 6th Gen processor (or equivalent).
  2. Quad-core CPU (4-cores).
  3. 8GB RAM.

Backup Power

  1. UPS or Portable Power Station (4–5 hours battery life).
  2. Mini-UPS for your fibre router (4–5 hours battery life).

Other Requirements

  1. Noise-cancelling headset and HD webcam (backup recommended).
  2. Quiet, well-lit, professional workspace.
