Placements24 is seeking a reliable Appliance Repair Technician to service Soweto and surrounding areas. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of household appliances directly at customers’ homes in Gauteng, ensuring satisfaction through clear communication and high-quality workmanship.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Appliance Repair Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of appliance mechanics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and hand tools relevant to appliance repair.
• Safety procedures when working with electrical appliances.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair common household appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, stoves, and microwaves.
• Perform routine maintenance and service checks on appliances to ensure optimal performance.
• Identify faulty parts and replace them with appropriate new or refurbished components.
• Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, parts used, and work performed.
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining the issue and the repair process clearly.
