Placements24 seeks a skilled Appliance Repair Technician to service the Centurion, Gauteng area, diagnosing and repairing a range of domestic appliances with a focus on customer satisfaction.

You will work largely independently, manage your schedule, and communicate repair options and costs clearly to homeowners, ensuring high safety and quality standards while supporting ongoing training and career development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Appliance Repair Technician or similar field.
• Strong knowledge of domestic appliances and common failure points.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair techniques for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, ovens and dishwashers.
• Install and replace faulty appliance components.
• Conduct diagnostics to identify issues and recommend repair solutions.
• Explain repair processes and costs clearly to customers.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools and order replacements as needed.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Appliance Repair Technician to serve the Centurion, Gauteng area. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of household appliances, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the reputation of our client for reliable service. You will work independently for a significant portion of your time, managing your schedule and service calls efficiently. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities to communicate effectively with homeowners. The ideal candidate is adaptable and enjoys the challenge of resolving diverse technical issues in a dynamic home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair common faults in domestic appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers.
• Perform installations and replacements of faulty appliance components.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify underlying issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Provide clear explanations of repair processes and costs to customers.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools, ordering replacements as needed.
