St Alban’s College is looking for a passionate Full-Time IsiZulu teacher to motivate and engage students, while upholding high educational standards. The ideal candidate will hold SACE registration and have experience teaching within the IEB curriculum from Grade 8 to Grade 12. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication abilities and innovative teaching methods, alongside a commitment to contributing to the school's overall environment.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years teaching experience in the IEB curriculum.
  • Specialist IsiZulu teacher or Head of Department experience preferred.
  • Leadership experience in managing the IsiZulu Department is an advantage.

Job description

St Alban’s College, one of South Africa’s leading independent boys’ high schools, seeks to employ a Full-Time IsiZulu teacher. The position offers an opportunity for an experienced, talented, and creative teacher who will foster enthusiasm for IsiZulu and maintain high standards of achievement.

The ideal candidate will be a specialist IsiZulu teacher and/or Head of Department with experience in the IEB environment and a successful track record in teaching IsiZulu at FET level.

Criteria:

  • Must be SACE registered
  • Passion for education and the ability to motivate and stimulate higher-order thinking
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience within the IEB curriculum, from Grade 8 to Grade 12
  • Excellent communication skills and classroom management
  • Innovative use of technology in the classroom is essential
  • Computer literacy in Google and Microsoft platforms is beneficial
  • Willingness to contribute to the school's extra-curricular programs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to fully participate in school life
  • Committed, dynamic educationalist with a practical, boy-centric approach to teaching
  • Knowledge of current educational trends
  • Leadership experience or vision to effectively and innovatively lead the IsiZulu Department is an advantage
