Qualifications

• Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• Government Certificate of Competency: Mines and Works is essential.
• Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist will be advantageous.
• Business Leadership qualification will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant engineering experience, of which at least 5 years must be at senior management level within a mining environment.
• Experience in both conventional and mechanised underground mining environments, metallurgical processing, and central services will be advantageous.
• Proven track record in engineering leadership, statutory compliance, asset management, maintenance optimisation, infrastructure reliability and capital project execution.
