Introduction

We are looking for an intermediate to senior Data Engineer for a permanent position for our client based in Cape Town.

Requirements and Experience :

1. Relevant degree or qualification.
2. Applicant must be based in Cape Town.
3. At least 4-6 years of data warehouse ETL experience.
4. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
5. Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
6. Experience with dimensional modeling and data analysis.
7. Preferred experience with data visualization tools and the retail industry.
8. Understanding of version control (SVN / GIT) and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Korn shell scripting, and SQL.
9. Broad understanding of different Software Development Life Cycles (SDLCs).
