Job summary

Edustaff is seeking a High School English Teacher to deliver CAPS-based instruction for Grades 10 and 11 in a Christian school setting. The role requires a relevant teaching qualification and strong English teaching skills, with a preference for candidate(s) with CAPS experience and a commitment to the school’s ethos.

The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons, manage classrooms effectively and contribute to the school community.

Qualifications

• Relevant teaching qualification (BEd, PGCE or equivalent).
• 5 years teaching experience preferred.
• Gr 10 and 11 teaching experience would be ideal.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of the CAPS curriculum.
• Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
• A passion for English and for developing learners' academic potential.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
• Commitment to the values and ethos of a Christian school.
• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across the relevant High School grades.
• Assess, monitor and report on learner progress.
• Prepare learners for CAPS assessments and examinations.
