Requirements: SPARK Schools teachers are expected to drive student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behavior, and academic growth for all scholars.

FET Phase Tourism Educators are content specialists in Tourism. They equip scholars with the knowledge and tools necessary for matriculation and work collaboratively to lead an inquiry-based curriculum.

FET Phase Educators are integral to SPARK Schools' culture and our commitment to rigorous, engaging learning experiences.

Responsibilities include:

1. Planning, teaching, and co-teaching face-to-face and distance lessons, including academic and club activities.
2. Collaborating with colleagues to develop engaging learning experiences and individualized behavior and learning plans.
3. Participating in professional development sessions.
4. Developing assessments to monitor student progress and analyzing data for growth.
5. Leading social and emotional development sessions.
6. Supporting low-performing scholars and extending high performers.
7. Participating in place-based education and career pathways initiatives.
8. Implementing behavior management strategies and maintaining professional communication with stakeholders.
9. Nurturing a high-achieving environment where all scholars feel valued.
10. Promoting SPARK's vision and mission, and implementing crisis management strategies.
11. Adhering to child protection, anti-bullying, health, and safety policies.
12. Attending events and parent meetings, submitting student data, and creating a positive online learning culture.

Blended Learning Role: Creating a positive online learning environment, assisting students with educational software, developing project-based lesson plans, and piloting innovative curriculum ideas.

Qualifications: Fluency in English, 3-5 years of experience, a completed B.Ed or PGCE in Tourism (Senior/FET Phase), SACE registration, and a clean criminal record.
