Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
  • Proficient in Afrikaans.
  • Proven sales experience in construction or capital equipment industries.
  • Strong technical knowledge of earthmoving machinery.
  • Excellent negotiation and customer relationship skills.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code 08 or higher).
  • Computer literacy - proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of new, used and refurbished earthmoving and construction equipment.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Salesman (Earthmoving & Construction Equipment) – Johannesburg

Dura Equipment Sales in Johannesburg is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Salesman to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with experience in sales and a passion for earthmoving, construction, and heavy-duty machinery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
  • Proficient in Afrikaans
  • Proven sales experience in construction, earthmoving, mining, or capital equipment industries
  • Strong technical knowledge of earthmoving machinery such as LOVOL, CAT, Bell, JCB, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi or similar
  • Excellent negotiation and customer relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and achieve set sales targets
  • Valid driver’s license (Code 08 or higher)
  • Computer literacy – proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
  • Must be based in Johannesburg.
  • Strong business acumen, professional presentation, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of new, used and refurbished earthmoving and construction equipment
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting and networking
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key decision-makers
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and tenders
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
  • Work closely with management, workshop, and parts departments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions when required
