A market-leading engineering firm is seeking a Heavy Current Engineer with a proven track record in large-scale substation projects. This role involves overseeing substations powering 4,000+ units, ensuring compliance, safety, and technical excellence.

Key Requirements

• Professional Registration: PrEng with ECSA (able to sign off on own work)

• Experience with high-voltage substations powering large residential/mixed-use developments

• Strong project management experience (Prince2 certification advantageous)

• Excellent leadership, coordination, and reporting skills

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee design, planning, and delivery of heavy current substation projects

• Conduct site visits and ensure alignment with engineering standards and regulatory compliance

• Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation

• Engage with developers, contractors, and professional teams

• Sign off on electrical designs and ensure quality of execution
