Placements24 is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the implementation and upgrade of healthcare IT systems in Polokwane. You will manage projects from inception to completion, collaborating with clinical staff, IT professionals, and external vendors to improve patient care and data security.

In this role you will develop detailed plans, track progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery within budget while complying with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Project Manager in healthcare IT (EHR, HIS, PACS).
• Experience managing complex technology projects in healthcare.
• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of healthcare IT projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to understand needs and ensure implementations meet patient care requirements.
• Manage vendor selection and relationships with third-party technology providers.
• Ensure projects comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, POPIA) and data privacy standards.
• Develop project plans, track progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams, clinical staff, and hospital administration.
