Job summary

Discovery Limited, through Discovery Health, is seeking an Intermediate Data Scientist to leverage healthcare data and analytics to optimize client services and drive actionable insights across schemes.

You will explore large structured and unstructured datasets, apply modern ML algorithms, and present findings to stakeholders to influence decisions and improve outcomes within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Honours or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics with experience in software engineering or big data sets.
• Honours or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with solid data mining and ML experience.
• 2–3 years’ work experience in a data science position.

Responsibilities

• Connecting with stakeholders to understand healthcare data context.
• Mine large structured and unstructured datasets for insights.
• Research and apply ML algorithms and AI techniques.
• Present findings to inform decisions and improve client services.
• Implement results in internal and external environments.
