Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking an Accounts Controller to optimise revenue by ensuring accurate patient billing and that each patient file contains all relevant supporting documentation. The role requires handling all charted items and ensuring final billed accounts are complete and timely.

Daily tasks include using reports to finalise accounts and maintaining clear communication with other departments to sustain patient and funder satisfaction within a private healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Experience or familiarity with billing and accounts in a healthcare setting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timeous billing of all charted items used during the patient's stay.
• Complete all patient files and ensure these contain all documents as well as a final billed account.
• Utilise and control applicable reports to ensure prompt finalisation and rendering of accounts.
• Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication with other departments.
