RPO Recruitment is collaborating with a leading packaging and plastics company seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Officer to join their team. As a Health & Safety Officer you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees and promoting a safe working environment in the packaging and plastics industry.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
2. Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
3. Investigate accidents and incidents and implement corrective measures
4. Provide safety training and education to employees
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards
6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety
7. Participate in safety committee meetings and assist in developing safety initiatives
8. Stay updated on industry best practices and new developments in health and safety

Requirements

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Health & Safety Officer in the packaging and plastics industry
2. Relevant certification in health and safety management
3. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Attention to detail and ability to work independently
6. Proficient in conducting risk assessments and safety inspections
7. Ability to handle and resolve safety-related issues effectively
