Description :

Hire Resolve’s client in the property & real estate industry is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to ensure legal compliance with the OHS Act and applicable regulations by assisting, advising, and enforcing HSE issues related to the contract.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and risks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and federal regulations.
  • Provide training and education to employees on health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans.
  • Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Monitor and analyze health and safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Stay informed about changes in health and safety legislation and best practices, making recommendations for updates to policies and procedures.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety, environmental health, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Health & Safety Professional (CHSP) designation or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence positive change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
