Job Title: Health & Safety Officer

Location: Thembalethu East, George

Project: Construction of a Concrete Reservoir & Tower (50% complete, with potential future projects in the area)

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our team for the ongoing construction project in Thembalethu East, George. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site and contribute to fostering a safety culture within the construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the implementation and monitoring of health and safety protocols at the construction site.
2. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations.
4. Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, incidents, and inspections.
5. Provide safety training and awareness to site personnel.
6. Ensure the proper use of safety equipment and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
7. Assist with accident investigations and report findings to management.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Registration with SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions).
2. Minimum 2 years' experience in a Health & Safety Officer role within the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in computer literacy (Outlook, Basic Word & Excel).
4. Well-mannered, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Valid drivers license (Code 08 or above).

Project Details:

The project involves the construction of a concrete reservoir and tower. It is currently over 50% complete. Additional construction projects in the area may require involvement.
