Job summary

A leading company in vehicle and fleet tracking is seeking an experienced HSE to join their team in Centurion. The role involves developing and implementing safety frameworks, promoting a safe work culture, and ensuring compliance with legal and environmental standards. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Management, alongside 3 to 5 years' relevant experience and strong knowledge of South African SHE legislation.

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years' OHS experience within a vehicle / fleet tracking company.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Strong understanding of SA SHE legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, implement and maintain comprehensive HSE and governance frameworks.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure control measures are in place.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and conduct root cause analysis.

Introduction

A leader in vehicle / fleet tracking

Description

A well known leader in the vehicle / fleet tracking industry is seeking an experienced and qualified HSE to join their team in Centurion.

Key performance areas:

Draft, implement and maintain comprehensive HSE and governance frameworks

Promote a safe culture

Minimize environmental impact

Ensure that all legal appointments relevant to the company is done accurately / correctly

Perform regular risk assessments, hazard identifications

Ensure control measures have been put in place

Plan, conduct and document OSH inspections, audits and workplace assessments

Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses (Proper root cause analysis)

Implement corrective and preventative actions

Draft and deliver on HSE training programs and awareness campaigns

Responsible for emergency preparedness, put response plans in place '

Ensure all alarms, emergency exits and protection alarms are functional and regularly inspected

Promoting environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives

Reporting on environmental performances

Assisting with the development, implementation and monitoring of corporate governance policies, frameworks, procedures.

Analyse OHS stats and draft quarterly reports

Maintain stats for annual board meetings

Profile

Qualifications and experience:

Matric

Diploma / degree: Occupational health & safety, environmental management or related

No less than 3 - 5 years' OHS experience within a vehicle / fleet tracking company

Must have knowledge of ISO 45001 (OHS) and ISO 14001 (Environmental management)

Strong understanding of SA SHE legislation and compliance

OHSAS 18001 training

Must have experience with incident investigations and root cause analysis
