Certifications: • ISO 45001 – Internal Auditor • ISO 14001 – Internal Auditor • ISO 9001 – Internal Auditor • Legal Liability • Fall Protection Planner • Risk Assessor • Incident Investigator • First Aider
Professional registration: SACPCMP registration as CHSO
Minimum of 5 years technical experience

Key Performance Areas:
Implement and coordinate HSE elements of the Business Operating System: • Implement and coordinate the Company HSE management system and promote health and safety compliance on sites • Monitor and adhere to legislative standards and regulations • Vetting and approval of contractor HSE documentation, make recommendations as required (Inc training) and monitor compliance through audit process • Correct unsafe acts or conditions and advise site management accordingly • Assist in the preparation and review of HSE documentation and maintain positive health and safety communication on projects • Compile project specific emergency preparedness plans and review effectiveness thereof • Assist in maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification • Mitigate relevant hazards and risks through regular site inspections and self-assessment audits • Coordinate and case manage all project-related incidents and compile reports • Monitor all risk-based assessment documentation • Investigate and attend to workers' HSE related complaints/queries
Support site staff and ensure improvement and professional development: • Monitor and guide team performance in alignment to role profiles • Sharing of knowledge and best practices to achieve team collaboration • Ensure team alignment with company policies and code of conduct • Mentoring and assist junior staff under his/her control without derogating from own responsibilities • Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development and encourage and enable junior staff to do the same • Respect diversity and encourage an environment that values inclusivity
Provide competitive and financial advantage through improved efficiencies and reduced costs: • Provide input into project resource management and pricing • Assist project team with change and risk mitigation to remain within budget • Mitigate risk and realize opportunities • Drive down project incident rates and associated costs • Track penalties and contra charge costs
