Job description

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Assess and provide advice for employee’s application for incapacity leave (short and long period)
  • Assess and provide advice for employee’s initiated and/or employer’s initiated application for ill-health retirement
  • Assess and provide advice for alternative accommodation of employees on medical grounds
  • Advise on applications for occupational injuries and disease cases
  • Provide efficient and effective case management

COMPANY EXPERIENCE

  • Must have 3 years or more experience in managing occupational health cases
  • Must have a certified and valid registration certificate with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in Occupational Health/Medicine
  • Positive references from clients must be attached

COMPANY DIRECTOR’S EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • MBChB Degree with a Diploma in Occupational Health
  • Valid certified registration certificate with the HPCSA as an Occupational Health Practitioner / Occupational Medicine Practitioner
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Occupational Health Practitioner or Medical Practitioner
