Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Health Platform Lead who will own end-to-end health, delivery, and operational performance of the Health platform, reporting to the Retail Technologies Lead. You’ll guide a cross-functional squad to configure, integrate, and operate Health capabilities that support pharmacy, clinic, and primary healthcare operations.

The role focuses on platform stability, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with Healthcare Operations, Compliance, Product, and Retail

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Health Informatics, or related field.
• 7+ years’ experience in application or platform management.
• Proven experience leading platform squads or cross-functional delivery teams.
• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated retail environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of the Health platform roadmap within the Retail Platforms Tribe.
• Shape priorities and sequencing with the Tribe Lead and Product Owners.
• Ensure regulatory and healthcare-specific requirements are embedded in platform changes.
• Drive standardisation of Health functionality across stores and clinics.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Health Platform Lead, reporting into the Retail Technologies Lead, owns the end-to-end health, delivery, and operational performance of Dis-Chem’s Health platform. The role leads a cross-functional squad responsible for configuring, integrating, and operating Health capabilities that support pharmacy, clinic, and primary healthcare operations, where platform stability is critical to patient care and regulatory outcomes. Working closely with Healthcare Operations, Compliance, Product, and Retail stakeholders, the Squad Lead translates priorities from the Retail Platforms Tribe roadmap into an executable backlog, ensuring reliable delivery, platform stability, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical to ensuring Health remains a trusted, resilient healthcare platform integrated with Retail, Finance, Customer, and Integration platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related field
• 7+ years’ experience in application or platform management

Responsibilities

Platform ownership and roadmap

• Own execution of the Health platform roadmap within the Retail Platforms Tribe
• Shape priorities and sequencing with the Tribe Lead and Product Owners
• Ensure regulatory and healthcare-specific requirements are embedded in platform changes
• Drive standardisation of Health functionality across stores and clinics

Delivery and operations

• Lead the Health platform squad delivering configuration, enhancements, and integrations
• Ensure stable day-to-day operation of Health, including pharmacy and clinic workflows
• Own release planning, testing, and production support
• Proactively manage incidents and prevent repeat failures

Governance and collaboration

• Ensure Health changes comply with enterprise architecture, integration standards, information security, and healthcare regulations
• Coordinate closely with Integration, Retail, Finance, and Compliance teams
• Manage Health vendor delivery within tribe-level governance frameworks
• Escalate architectural, data, or regulatory trade-offs as required

Competencies

• Strong understanding of healthcare retail systems, pharmacy, or clinical platforms
• Experience managing mission-critical, regulated applications
• Ability to balance operational stability with continuous improvement
• Strong stakeholder engagement across healthcare and retail teams

• Availability and stability of the health platform
• Reduction in Health-related store, clinic, and pharmacy incidents
• On-time delivery of Health enhancements and regulatory changes
• Business satisfaction from Pharmacy, Clinic, and Primary Healthcare stakeholders
