Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Kenilworth, Cape Town, is seeking a Health Merchandiser to ensure merchandising standards are maintained and customers receive outstanding service.

Your responsibilities include restocking merchandise, maintaining stock in the store room and on the shop floor, ensuring shelves are fully stocked with correct labels and pricing, and keeping displays neat and compliant with brand standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• Diploma or degree in Health Focus is advantageous.
• Willing to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Restock merchandise as per business requirements.
• Ensure stock stored and packed correctly in the store room.
• Keep full range of products on shelves with correct labels/pricing.
• Facilitate rotation of stock on a First In First Out basis.
• Assist with stocktaking.
• Maintain neat, visible front shop shelves and displays.
• Maintain daily upkeep of store and stock in store room and shop floor.
• Assist with back shopping and resolve customer stock queries.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies require a Health Merchandiser for their Kenilworth store. Your responsibilities lie in ensuring Dis-Chem’s basic merchandising standards are properly executed and maintained. Provide customers with outstanding customer service.

Minimum Requirements…

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Up to 6 months’ retail experience
• Computer literate – MS Office
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Diploma or degree within the Health Focus category
• At least 1 year retail experience

Job Specification…

• Restock merchandise as per business requirements.
• Ensure delivered stock/stock pulled from the store room, is stored and packed in the correct space.
• Ensure full range of products is on the shelves at all times.
• Facilitate rotation of stock on a regular, First In First Out basis.
• Assist with general stocktaking.
• Ensure front shop shelves and products are neatly presented and visible at all times, with correct labels and pricing.
• Ensure merchandising displays are built, faced up, stocked and maintained.
• Maintain daily physical upkeep of store and merchandise displays, and be responsible for your designated stock in the store room as well as on the shop floor.
• Assist with back shopping.
• Ensure all customer stock queries are dealt with and resolved.

• Able and physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes, and ensure health and safety standards are adhered to
