Overview

Our client is seeking three proactive Health and Safety Officers for an 18-month contract working on a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiative tied to one of South Africa's major energy utilities.

Role details: 18-month contract starting October. Work on a pioneering battery energy storage project. On-site at one of three project locations (all within close proximity). Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations during construction phases. Contribute to South Africa's transition to more sustainable energy infrastructure.

Ideal Candidate / Qualifications

• Degree in a construction-related field.
• 5 years on-site experience in the construction industry.
• Completed health and safety training / certification.
• Experience on large-scale projects such as power stations, solar farms, mining operations, or water utilities.
• Familiarity with battery or energy storage systems is highly advantageous.
• Candidates currently employed under private contracts with a major utility will be considered; direct employees of the utility are not eligible.
