Introduction

If you have the capability and experience in establishing an operational framework necessary for the successful execution of the WCellar strategy and, in collaboration with ROG, the passion to drive and oversee its seamless implementation, we want to hear from you! This role includes the responsibility of ensuring best-in-class execution across all aspects of trade, staffing, service, and customer experience, to optimize selling opportunities to deliver sustainable profit growth.

  • Manage and execute our Product Strategy.
  • Manage and execute our WCellar Format Strategy, providing strategic oversight to drive P&L growth through effective strategy execution. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution of the WCellar Strategy.
  • Oversee the execution and performance of WCellar Standalones and alcoves (Top 50 alcoves as priority) jointly with ROG.
  • Build pipeline jointly with RED and launch new stores.
  • Enhance the in-store experience (customer experience strategy, training, etc.) through leveraging suppliers.
  • Manage stock with our DCs and stores.
  • Ensure compliance management.
  • Manage space, productivity, and equipment.
  • Maintain and enhance our store image.
  • Deliver and execute our sales strategy through in-season trading.
  • Handle budgeting and expense management.
  • Manage expenses and operational costs.
  • Oversee staffing to meet store viability and manage commissions costs.
  • Understand P&L (BPI) for each store.
  • Understand the CAPEX cycle and inputs required.
  • Collaborate with ROG HR in managing staffing models.
  • Lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Manage projects efficiently.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of previous industry experience, with a significant portion at management level.
  • Minimum 4-year business degree; post-grad qualification or MBA strongly recommended.
  • Demonstrated 8 years of experience in sales, trade marketing, or distribution.
  • Retail/FMCG experience required, preferably within the Liquor Industry.
  • Experience in sales and distribution in FMCG Liquor.
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, finance, supply chain, etc.
  • Sound knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
