Job Overview

Business Segment: Personal & Private Banking

Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, 30 Baker Street

To drive provincial Standard Bank Financial Consultancy (SBFC) objectives within laid down regulatory and Standard Bank Group policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive provincial strategy to deliver on SBFC’s financial goals and initiatives.
• Lead, coach and manage a high-performing team of Regional Managers and Financial Planners.
• Conduct sales and performance reviews, providing monthly reports on financial drivers.
• Provide strategic input into product development and enablement activities based on provincial insights.
• Leverage internal and external networks to unlock new business opportunities and improve service delivery.
• Analyse customer base and optimise SBFC footprint across the province.
• Lead all risk and compliance efforts, acting as key liaison with internal stakeholders (e.g., RCC, Internal Audit, Enablement).
• Champion continuous improvement in sales productivity, client experience, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as Key Individual (KI) for SBFC under FAIS regulations within the province.
• Ensure FAIS compliance across the province.
• Promote a culture of accountability, recognition, and professionalism.
• Stay updated on PPB and Group business drivers (e.g., PPB, Liberty, Stanlib, Offshore solutions).

Qualifications

Experience Required:
Personal and Private Banking
8-10 years Experience in all the product categories in terms of FAIS for SBFC. Experience in managing a team of financial planners. Experience in acting as KI for a range of FAIS categories. Understanding of franchise models.
