Job Summary: Manage and apply the functional programme management strategy or define multiple practice strategies within the business, influencing horizontal adaptation.

Job Description:
Accountability : Strategy Formulation & Execution
Contribute to the formulation of the Technology strategy to achieve its short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals related to commercial management and information technology.

Formulate the function objectives aligned with the Bank's goals in collaboration with leadership teams across Operations, IT, Change Enablement, Digital & Service Transformation, Procurement, and Governance.

Participate in contract negotiations, acting as a link between Technology, Finance, Procurement, and Legal.

Translate the Bank's strategy into clear commercial objectives.

Monitor team and individual performance against targets and KPIs.

Provide regular reports on productivity and performance indicators to senior management.

Identify productivity initiatives and develop business cases for strategic decision-making.

Engage continuously with stakeholders on commercial initiatives, productivity, and strategic contracts, including Country CIOs, COOs, and Procurement teams.

Accountability : Stakeholder Management

Promote and manage engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, service providers, business partners, and auditors.

Represent the ARO Technology's interests in Commercial Management and IT issues, liaising with relevant stakeholders.

Accountability : People Management

Coach, mentor, and manage the team to achieve commercial objectives and develop skills related to cost optimization, procurement, and business case development.

Embed values and behaviors that support the function's objectives and the Bank's strategy.

Accountability : Risk, Compliance, and Governance

Oversee compliance with Absa Group Risk and Compliance requirements within the commercial domain, in line with risk appetite.

Ensure governance activities are fulfilled, including tracking and reporting.

Anticipate potential risks in the contract landscape and implement measures to minimize exposure.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
