Placements24 is seeking an experienced Head Physiotherapist to lead the sports medicine department for a premier Pretoria rugby union club. The role focuses on player health, injury prevention, and rehabilitation to maintain peak performance during the season.

You will collaborate with coaches and medical staff, implement evidence-based therapies, supervise resources and records, and stay ahead with advances in sports physiotherapy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy and HPCSA registration.
• Minimum of 5 years in a professional team sport setting, preferably rugby union.
• Expertise in manual therapy, exercise prescription, and injury rehabilitation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Oversee prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries for all players.
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs for safe return to play.
• Conduct regular injury risk assessments and implement preventative strategies.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a physiotherapist in a professional team sport setting, preferably rugby union .
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy, exercise prescription, and injury rehabilitation techniques.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a demanding sports environment located in Pretoria .
