Job Purpose

To achieve financial objectives in chosen market segments through stakeholder relationship management and client engagement, in line with Nedbank's business strategy.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensure client and stakeholder expectations are understood and met, building relationships through regular engagement.
  • Build synergy across business functions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Align and achieve strategy, creating a competitive advantage by translating Nedbank and Business Unit strategy into tailored actions.
  • Develop and implement a divisional strategy that fosters a culture aligned with Nedbank's vision and values.
  • Build a high-performance team.
  • Embrace the leadership agenda within the division, manage performance of direct reports, and hold them accountable.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through talent management and succession planning.
  • Participate in recruiting and selecting senior staff.
  • Optimize team performance and motivation, empowering decision-making and tailored solutions.
  • Implement and execute divisional sales strategies.
  • Manage and achieve targets.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide sales intelligence and solutions.
  • Provide ongoing sales leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate risks for Nedbank Group.
  • Produce reports for key business committees.
  • Monitor and ensure achievement of targets, including divisional EE and Transformation Plans, and address deviations.
  • Contribute to transformation culture through Nedbank initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.
  • Develop and measure strategies to build a differentiated organizational culture.
  • Oversee achievement of functional goals, service levels, and manage business and client interests. Improve sales policies and procedures.
  • Manage risk through policy input, guidelines, legislative interpretation, and proactive change management.
  • Enhance processes and skills within the division.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Diploma
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Commerce: Honours, Master in Business Administration

Minimum Experience Level

5 years in related market + 5 years as a senior manager (total 10 years).
