Job description

The main purpose of the job is to be responsible for calculating, processing, and reconciling group accounting entries. Provides reports on group costs, productivity, margins, and expenditures.

Responsibilities:
  1. Monthly journals: Calculate and process monthly group journals.
  2. Monthly reconciliations: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  3. Rebates: Maintain supplier relationships and ensure agreement compliance with company policies on creditor terms and rebates management. Update ERP system accordingly.
  4. Rebate management: Calculate and process rebate accrual journals, actual rebates received, reconcile accrued amounts, ensure timely invoicing, and prepare related balance sheet reconciliations. Collaborate with the Merchandise Department for forecasting and tracking volume rebates. Prepare monthly reports for management and drive process efficiencies through cross-functional projects.
  5. Policies and Procedures: Assist in standardizing financial policies and monitor adherence across group companies.
  6. Projects: Support financial projects within group companies.
  7. Uphold and promote the company values and culture.
