ABOUT THE ROLE

As our full-time Head of University Partnerships, you will oversee the management and expansion of HyperionDev's university collaborations, building relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing trust in our offerings.

Working closely with the Department Head, your role will integrate business development, project management, and cross-functional teamwork to foster strategic growth. Ideal candidates will have experience in account management, client success, and project management, with a strong understanding of higher education structures and the agility to thrive in a startup environment.

You will utilize your expertise in partnership dynamics to support university partners, manage multiple stakeholders, communicate effectively, and pursue new business opportunities. Additionally, you will contribute to shaping HyperionDev's culture, talent acquisition, and strategic planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the success of university partnerships by managing relationships and maintaining high standards.
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities within the university sector through proactive outreach and strategic planning.
  • Develop a systematic, process-driven approach to managing partnerships.
  • Oversee operational planning, risk management, and problem-solving during engagement phases.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for issues, ensuring quick resolution.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making and product development.
  • Ensure team commitments are met, activities are coordinated, and responses are timely.
  • Conduct business reviews, sharing insights and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in account management, customer success, or client service, including at least 3 years managing university partnerships in edtech or higher education.
  • Proven track record in partner retention, growth, and institutional support for e-learning adoption.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior university staff, developing strong relationships and influencing decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including at the executive level.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to growth opportunities.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder processes involving diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in high-growth, tech-focused environments; experience with OPM models in international markets; strong market analysis skills.
