Job description

Our client is seeking a Head of Training - Leadership and Organisational Development to join their team, based in Johannesburg.

Successful candidate will be responsible for identifying high-potential employees, implementing world-class leadership training, and ensuring a strong succession pipeline for key roles.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Organizational Development
  • Leadership and Talent Development
  • Human Resources (HR) or Industrial Psychology
  • Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Leadership or HR
  • Education and Training (with a specialization in executive or corporate learning)

Additional certifications are a plus:

  • Certified Executive Coach (ICF, EMCC, or similar)
  • Leadership Development and Talent Management Certifications (CIPD, SHRM-SCP, ATD Certified Professional in Talent Development)
  • Change Management Certification (PROSCI)
  • Advanced Challenger Sales Model Training
Experience and Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in leadership development, talent management, or corporate training
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership or training role within a large or mid-sized organization
  • Proven experience in building and executing leadership programs that resulted in measurable career growth
  • Experience in succession planning and high-potential talent identification
  • Track record of successfully integrating leadership training into performance management
  • Experience working in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, FMCG, or a high-growth corporate environment is a plus
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Leadership and Executive Coaching
    • Succession Planning and Talent Analytics
    • Training and Development Program Design
    • Stakeholder Management and Collaboration with Executives
    • Change Management and Culture Building
