Position Overview

We're seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Talent Acquisition to revolutionise our talent strategy and lead our centralised recruitment function. Reporting to the Group Executive of Human Resources, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge talent acquisition frameworks that support our ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Talent Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with business objectives and workforce plans
  • Design and optimise talent acquisition systems, tools, and processes based on data insights and market trends
  • Oversee the management of the centralised recruitment team, ensuring operational excellence
  • Drive the Group's Employment Equity objectives through strategic hiring initiatives and targeted talent pools

Process & Systems Excellence

  • Lead the optimisation of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure best practice implementation across the group
  • Develop standardised recruitment processes and SOPs to enhance efficiency and candidate experience
  • Implement data-driven approaches to measure recruitment effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to align recruitment activities with business unit needs
  • Spearhead the development and communication of our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) across business units
  • Manage and enhance graduate recruitment programs to build talent pipelines
  • Identify critical and scarce skills, developing targeted attraction strategies to secure top talent
  • Create innovative talent management frameworks and tools to support internal mobility and succession planning

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills with experience implementing data-driven recruitment approaches
  • Proven track record in recruitment systems implementation and optimization
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment projects and leading teams
  • Experience in e-commerce or high-growth environments (advantageous)
