Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing firm specializing in consumer goods, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Supply Chain and Logistics. This critical leadership position, based in Bloemfontein, Free State, ZA, will oversee all aspects of the company's supply chain operations, from procurement and inventory management to warehousing and transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the timely delivery of products to customers nationwide. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of global supply chains and a proven ability to manage complex logistics networks. This is a full-time, in-office role where your presence is essential for managing on-site operations and team leadership. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
• Oversee all supply chain functions, including procurement, inventory planning, warehousing, distribution, and transportation management.
• Optimize logistics operations to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs within Bloemfontein and beyond.
• Implement and manage inventory control systems to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain and logistics team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Utilize technology and data analytics to drive supply chain visibility, forecasting accuracy, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, production, and finance, to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management and logistics, with a strong focus on manufacturing or consumer goods in South Africa.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies.
