A leading South African online retailer is seeking a highly talented Head of Supplier Business to join our team in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:
  1. Build and lead a team of Supplier Business Managers to optimize income from trading terms.
  2. Establish productive relationships with key suppliers and cross-functional teams aligned with business strategy.
  3. Negotiate and maximize income from trading terms in line with company goals.
  4. Develop programs to increase supplier income based on retail landscape insights.
  5. Support retail divisions and suppliers with knowledge and resources.
  6. Lead rebate and trading term negotiations with current and future suppliers.
  7. Review vendor contracts for earning potential against benchmarks.
  8. Ensure trading terms are category-specific and strategic.
  9. Build frameworks and processes to maximize income.
  10. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  11. Manage, train, and develop a team of effective negotiators.
  12. Achieve and exceed income recovery targets as per business plans.
