Head of Security

Head of Security position available in Uitenhage.

We are seeking a Xhosa speaking corporate individual from the manufacturing or mining industries to be Head of Security in the Human Resources Department for a large manufacturing concern in Kariega (Uitenhage) Eastern Cape.

Requirements:

1. Tertiary (Degree / Diploma) qualification in Security Risk Management, with focus on Business Management.
2. 10 years minimum experience in the Security industry of which 5 years should be in a management role.
3. Comprehensive security experience in various security areas e.g. crisis management, investigations, operational security, international security exposure, etc.
4. Experience with security auditing, security risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiation.
5. Capable of managing, advising, guiding, and leading a security team.
6. Management and leadership skills.
7. Negotiation and communication skills.
8. Presentation skills.
9. Decision making and good judgment skills.
10. Computer literacy.
11. Able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
12. Ability to operate effectively at all levels of the organization.
13. Very hands-on in implementing new strategic structures throughout Africa.
