Sales Manager

Our client, a well-established short-term insurance Underwriting Manager specialising in niche products, is seeking to recruit a Sales Manager to join their dynamic Fourways, Johannesburg team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead sales team and grow the panel of brokers and short-term insurance portfolio.
• Instrumental in expanding the sales team and network both locally and nationally.
• Manage a small team, providing sales and technical guidance.
• Drive business growth with initiative and persistence to achieve objectives.
• Oversee team management, including related insurance experience such as quote rate, quota rate, bind/conversion rate, onboarding new policies and brokers, broker-specific loss ratios.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Afrikaans is essential.
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an insurance Broker Consultant.
• Team or people management experience is advantageous but not essential if the candidate has leadership aptitude.
• Experience in maintaining and growing a profitable short-term insurance portfolio, expanding sales teams, and creating client-focused solutions and lasting relationships with business partners.
• RE 5 qualification is advantageous.
• FAIS credits for Short Term Insurance are advantageous.
