Job description

Optimi has an opportunity available for an experienced and driven individual to lead our Sales and Marketing department as Head of Sales and Marketing. You must have extensive knowledge of B2B and B2C sales, strategic key account management experience, and a thorough understanding of stakeholder engagement and marketing strategy development. You must be able to operate in a high-paced environment, adapt to change and be motivated by delivering results through collaborative team leadership.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, or related fields
  • Honours or postgraduate degree (Advantageous)
  • Proven sales and marketing experience in the public and private sectors.
  • Experience in B2C and B2B environments (Essential)
  • Strong business development abilities
  • Strategic key account management (Essential)
  • In-depth understanding of B-BBEE
  • Proven bid or proposal response experience and success
  • Knowledge of QCTO and SETA processes and environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Competent in using BI tools and CRM systems
  • Knowledge of office management tools, websites, and social media platforms


DUTIES

  • Develop and implement divisional sales and marketing strategies.
  • Do market and industry research.
  • Drive innovation in products and services.
  • Report weekly and monthly on strategic metrics.
  • Ensure that CRM systems are accurately maintained.
  • Oversee marketing strategy, manage departmental budgets, and financial tracking.
  • Establish low-cost, high-impact lead generation.
  • Develop and monitor evaluation systems and ROI tracking.
  • Expand customer base and manage key accounts.
  • Forge and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Design and implement sales growth strategies.
  • Monitor CRM and other evaluation systems.
  • Prioritise improvements to sales processes.
  • Manage daily operations and communication in the Sales and Marketing department.
  • Effectively align the marketing and sales functions.
  • Drive performance management and staff development.
  • Identify departmental risks and drive continuous improvement.


The position is based in Centurion.
