Overview

A leading bank is seeking a highly motivated Sales Head to join their team of professionals in the North-West region.

This role involves strategic management of all business areas, including people and resources, to ensure sustainable growth of the consolidated Balance Sheet and Income Statement. Responsibilities include identifying business growth opportunities (new markets, products, and services), designing cost-effective delivery channels, developing risk management strategies, and implementing efficiency measures to maximize stakeholder value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve net profit growth for the business
  • Increase the average balance of a designated liabilities portfolio
  • Establish, align, and manage target and budget goals while controlling costs
  • Develop a service-oriented culture that rewards relationships and fosters innovation
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships internally and externally to support sales strategies
  • Manage growth of the active customer account base
  • Maximize cross-sell opportunities and strengthen client relationships
  • Facilitate customer channel migration for optimal banking experience
  • Track and influence sales activities to meet targets
  • Improve operational and cost efficiencies through strategic planning and execution
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns, setting standards for success
  • Monitor costs and benefits of campaigns and channels
  • Provide accurate business intelligence and trend analysis to support decision-making
  • Manage personal development to enhance competencies
  • Lead team performance, skills development, employment equity, and culture to foster innovation

Key Requirements:

  • 15 years of banking experience, including at least 5 years at the executive level
  • Within the 5 years, at least 1 year of experience managing or overseeing financial services for licensed categories

Education & Certifications:

  • MBA or equivalent business management degree
  • Qualification recognized by the FSCA Registrar
