Job summary

Unique Personnel seeks a Head of Sales to lead our sales function across mining and related sectors in Gauteng. You will develop strategic plans, manage senior sales leaders, and drive growth through key accounts and channel partnerships.

The role requires extensive experience in mining or industrial sales, strong negotiation and contract management skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, travel-heavy environment with senior stakeholder interactions.

Qualifications

Essential

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Mining Engineering, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Preferred

• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Sales leadership certification.
• Mining industry or technical sales training.

Experience

Essential

• 10+ years of progressive sales experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior sales leadership role.
• Proven experience in mining, ground support, explosives, chemicals, industrial consumables, engineering solutions, or related sectors.
• Demonstrated success managing large strategic accounts.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management experience.

Preferred

• Experience working with major mining houses across Southern Africa.
• International business development experience.
• Experience managing multi-country sales teams.
